How We Price Our Jewellery
Every piece at Edmonds & Pearce is individually researched, assessed and priced.
Vintage, antique and pre owned jewellery cannot be valued by appearance alone. Age, maker, craftsmanship, precious metal content, gemstones, condition, rarity, provenance and documentation can all influence the value of a piece.
We consider these characteristics alongside comparable jewellery and the current market to establish a price that reflects the individual piece.
Considered Pricing
Our pricing is based on the jewellery itself rather than an inflated perception of value.
Where relevant, we consider hallmarks, signatures, period, construction, gemstone characteristics, condition and provenance, together with professional valuations or documentation where available.
Each piece is considered individually. Because no two pieces have quite the same history, condition or characteristics, seemingly similar jewellery may be priced very differently.
The Piece You See
Every piece is physically inspected before being offered for sale and professionally photographed for Edmonds & Pearce.
Signs of age, wear and previous life are part of vintage and antique jewellery. Where relevant, these are documented in the individual listing so you can consider the piece as it is.
